Hi, you’re probably wondering who is Jade. So that’s why I’m here writing to tell you who I am. I am a French-American-English-Russian-Italian-Asian girl currently living in Vancouver, Canada. I’m french because my mom was born in France, and so is her sister and father the Tai Chi teacher. But her mom (my grandma) is born in the states but can speak french. She lives in france and is married to my french grandpa so I guess you could say she’s kinda french. I’m american from my dad and mom’s side. I’m english from my grandpa on my dad’s side. Did you know that a long time ago my grandpa from my dad’s side was a brittish soldier and he was almost going to fight in World War II, but thankfully not because there’s a chance that I wouldn’t be ALIVE! I’m Russian because grandma from my dad’s side her dad is russian so she is russian so my dad is russian so I am russian. My grandma on my father’s side is born in france. And when she was 8 years old had to immigrate to the states because she is jewish and during World War II she had to escape with her family from the Natzis.
Also her two aunts who stated back in France didn’t make it, thankfully she was able to take a boat to New York where she stayed with her Uncle. Now she is currently still living in the states and had two daughters (my aunts) and a son (my dad).
I’m a tini tiny little bit italian because my grandma from my mom’s side, her dad is italian so that makes me italian. I’m also kinda asian because I was born in Singapore, which is an island, city, country in Asia.
The reason that I’m born in Singapore is an interesting story.
At first, my parents had my older brother in France. Then they went on a trip around the world. They stopped in Vietnam because my dad heard that there is great kitesurfing there. My dad has been kitesurfing since 2001. What you don’t understand about kitesurfing is that it’s all about waiting for the wind. They are all crazy because they’ll wait for the perfect wind for weeks, months, even YEARS! While waiting for the wind, my parents created the BEST daughter ever (me!) While the kitesurfing was good the hospitals are not so great. So, my mom went to Singapore delivered me and then went back to Vietnam. We stayed there for 2-3 years, and later moved to Singapore and had my little brother. On my mothers birthday my dad’s present for her was to move to Vancouver! At the time they had been wanting to move. So, finally got off their butt and moved! Out of all the places I’ve lived in Vancouver is definitely my favorite. Because in Asia, I am so different compared to the others (I can’t speak the same language, we look different ) but in Vancouver I have more friends because we are similar and love the same things also their super nice.
In Asia, sometimes people take pics of me and my brothers because I guess they have never seen americans. I love to Dance and do gymnastics (it’s my life!) my hobbies are sewing, hands on crafts things, writing, photography, designing, dance, gymnastics and playing with my awesome dog!
